RAINFOREST FROM ALL WALLS May 23, 2003; 9 to 12 pm
Atelier Sylvie Proidl  In the framework of the event Courtyard festival - Cultural oases behind the big city facades, Sylvie Proidl staged one of her rare performances involving a light and sound installation in the courtyard of her studio. Rainforests from the Caribbean, Central America, Brazil and the Pacific region were projected seamlessly onto the studio walls and, accompanied by sounds from the jungle, transposed the viewers into the tropical primary rainforest environment. Combined with the idyllically illuminated, richly planted courtyard, this performance successfully turned the mild spring evening into a unique and memorable event. |
